San Diego Day 7 - SEAlife Aquarium & Legoland

OMG - Legoland again???

On the second day we visited Legoland, we also walked through the SEALIFE aquarium, which is next to Legoland and it opened 1 hour before the park did. It's a pretty cool place with unique convexed and concaved lookouts into the tanks. It didn't cost any extra, thanks to our San Diego Go Cards. We spend about an hour there before entering the Legoland park. One of the coolest thing that I saw there was a blood shrimp.
We were there on the second day pretty much from open to close. Because it's the parks' 10th anniversary, they had fireworks every Saturday night just prior to closing, so we stayed for that. The fireworks was really cool, better than SeaWorld's fireworks.

Kira enjoying the "Story Book" ride, looking at all sorts of story book characters made out of Legos.

We found the Duplo playground area, which was catered to really young children. Kira was able to go on a few rides in that area. I tried to get her to go on the train by herself, but she's a mommy's girl and wanted me to go with her.

Thrill seekers in the making.

The Volvo driving test. This was probably the boys' favorite thing to do - they were actually driving!!! Jake and Jonah drove around more than a handful of times - it was good that the lines for this wasn't too long either. Jonah had to lie and say he is 6 years old in order to drive with Jake on the bigger course. Jonah did a great job driving, obeying traffic rules such as a stop sign and stop light. Jake didn't pay as much attention and actually crashed into Jonah a couple of times. At the kids exited, they were handed their own driver's licenses!

"Skipper Skool" - Jake and Jonah try their hands at steering a boat. It was really hard to control when I finally had a chance to go on it with Kira, plus you had to deal with all the other people bumping into your boat because they had trouble steering.

Jake as the mummy. Boys in front of a robot at the Lego Factory.

OMG - the line for this ride was topping out at over 2 hours during most of the day. I can't remember what it's called, but we skipped it first, which was a good thing, because by the time we went back, the line was about 45 minutes long.

Kira and I on the Safari ride at night. This was the first ride Kira and I got on on the second day while the boys did their roller coasters and such. She really wanted a zebra car the first time through the line in the morning but there were these adults that took the zebra cars. She was really happy when we got the zebra car at night.

San Diego Day 6 - Legoland California

We finally got the Legoland on Friday. It was the reason why we chose San Diego over the other places that we could've gone. I definitely recommend Legoland to all the families with kids. It was a really fun park with rides that catered specifically to kids, and of course, all the Lego stuff was pretty cool to look at as well. The food wasn't too bad and they don't rip you off like the other parks do around San Diego.

Of course we had to take pictures with the Darth Vader and R2D2.
R2D2's little head rotates like the movie, it was really cool.
Thomas the train in Lego. Kira could careless.
Maybe one day we will visit the real Eiffel tower.
While the boys played, I took Kira around Mini-land USA. She was excited to see things her size. She was even happy enough to pose for pictures for me.

She wasn't too amused with the Golden Gate Bridge, but she loves pushing the button that makes animal noises.

Walking down the Vegas strip.

The kids at the Washington Monument and Kira in front of the White House with the Obama inaugural scene.

Boys on the Aquazone ride while Kira and I got them wet by firing the water cannons.

Bob the Builder.

I guess Jake fired a shot while Mike was taking the picture and the blue ball actually hit Mike right in the chest.

Kira met Princess Lily, but she was so shy she would not take off her glasses and smile for a picture.

Jousting ride.

Kira and I went on the Indiana Jones laser ride. She liked it because the laser guns makes noise - though her gun was pointed at her the entire time.
