Another great hit!

Jake's awesome hit from the game yesterday!  He's definitely getting better and better.  We're really enjoying rookie baseball with him this year.  Everyone on the team works together and the parents support each other (for the most part).  I'm grateful that Jake is on such a great team with great coaches and great teammates.  Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about Jonah's team.

Soccer Preview

The boys had a chance to go to the soccer clinic held by the Terrace Brier soccer club.  Since the boys will be playing in the fall, we thought this would be a great intro for Jonah and a great practice for Jake.

Silly Princess

Mike took these picture of Kira this week while he was home with her.  She's such a girly girl :)

Kira picked up Jonah's little league cap and put it on.  She certainly knows how to accessorize.

Art Extravaganza and Giggle Monster

Every year, Jake's school put on an art show, artfully named the "Art Extravaganza".  All the kids in the school contributes a piece of artwork and they're displayed in the hallways of the school like a gallery.  At the event, the attendees votes for the best piece of art in each group.  This is Jake's contribution this year using watercolor!  He's not the most artistic kid, but I think he did a great job.  He added a lot of details in his drawing, the small picture here does not do it justice.

I have this video clip of my little princess giggling.  It always brings a smile to my face when I hear her giggle.  This is more for me when I'm away from her :)

Little Mariners' in training!

The boys have a busy season ahead. We're only on our second week and I'm already exhausted. But the boys are having fun and really enjoying themselves on the field, so I guess that makes everything worth while.

Jake is playing rookie baseball again this year, which means the balls are machine-pitched. He's getting better at hitting the ball and he is also getting better at catching the ball. I'm sure he'll improve a bunch this year since the schedule is so intense. Every week we have 2-3 games and 1-2 practices.

Jonah is playing T-ball, it's his first year playing baseball after watching his brother for the past 2 years. He's excited and anxious, but he is also finding out that it's not as easy as it looks.

One of Jonah's first hits playing T-ball for the first time.

Happy Easter

Hopefully everyone had a great Easter!

Kira started being sick Saturday evening and ended up vomiting a few times Saturday night, so Sunday was quite rough for us, especially Kira and me. I woke up with an extremely sore throat and a terrible migraine, but I couldn't let that stop the kids' egg hunt! Sunday morning, Mike and I stuffed the eggs and hid them around the house since it was too cold to do an outdoor egg hunt. I ended up hiding 78 eggs (yes, I know I went overboard, but at least it's divisible by 3). I gave Kira a few minutes of head start but her brothers still ended up finding most of the eggs, but they were very good at sharing.

We had Chinese food for lunch, which was great for me, because it was comfort food. After lunch, it was evident that all the kids needed a nap. The boys were out late at the Sounders' game and Kira didn't sleep well due to her stomach flu. Which was great, because it gave Mike and I some peace and quite time on a busy weekend. After the kids wake up from their naps, we headed down to Papa and GG's house for Easter dinner. It was great to see everyone, though I really started not feeling good, still with the migraine and sore throat, all the while worrying about Kira. She was able to hold down her lunch, but unfortunately not dinner. On the way home, she threw up all over herself in her carseat, poor girl.
