Kayak Point

The weather have been beautiful for the last couple of weeks. We visited Kayak Point Park near Marysville today with a couple of Jake's friends and teammates, thanks to Toni's suggestion and Maggi's persistence. We've never been there but it's a really cool county park with camp sites and picnic areas along the beach.

We all met at Toni's house and drove up together. Thankfully we were able to secure a picnic table with some shades, though the clouds did most of the shading today, thankfully. The boys wasted no time playing along the beach, searching for cool shells and rocks. Meanwhile I was trying to keep Kira out of the water, but that didn't last long. Kira loved having her feet in the water, she played and played for what seemed like for hours. Wicket also got a chance to get wet, I had to drag him into the water but he swam just fine and was wagging his tail afterwards. We had a giant feast - BBQ chicken, BBQ ribs, burgers, hot dogs, potato salads, fruits & veggies, all sorts of chips and candy, brownies and even s'mores! It was a wonderful day with wonderful company, hopefully we will be able to do this again!

Jake and Jonah at the beach. Jake found a clam and he was so eager to show it off.
Kira at the beach (with Boomer in the back, wishing he was a fish) and my swimmer dog.
The boys digging a trench - I'm not sure what for?!?
Climbing structure at the playground area. Jake, Ayden and Nate at the top!

We had a BBQ last weekend at our house since the weather was so nice. Nate and Ryean from Jake's baseball team were able to come and enjoy the new awesome delicious recipe I found for BBQ ribs. After dinner the boys busted out the laser tag guns that Jake got for Christmas and ran off some energy behind our house.
